Believe me when I say that managing your own social media page is a pain when you do lots of work and you never get anywhere with engagement. No one likes your post, no one leaves comments and surely, no one shares your post with others. Well, I have come across a simple way called 5x5x5 rule for social media engagement. Hope you like it.

What does the 5x5x5 rule mean?

Simply put, the 5x5x5 rule means “spend 5 minutes to like 5 posts and comment thoughtful comments on 5 posts”.

Algorithms reward active users. When you do the above close to when you are about to post your own content, there is a bigger chance that a bigger audience will see your post. People usually notice genuine comments and often engage back.

Consistency matters more than volume. Instead of spamming people’s posts with likes and comments, repeat the 5x5x5 rule daily and see the results.

The 25-minutes-a-day routine for full social media growth

This is where it gets really interesting. This rules is applicable to multiple platforms. Choose 5 platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinedIn, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok) and dedicate 5 minutes daily to each.

Track your results weekly; how many followers you gained, how many people commented and liked your posts, etc.

Now, you can adjust your focus to one or two platforms after you realize which platform gives better results. Spend more time there.
